The easiest way to get from Tokyo to Nagoya is via bullet train on the Tokaido Shinkansen line.
If you’re starting at the beginning of the line at Tokyo Station and heading to Nagoya on the Tokaido line, you’ve got three train options: Nozomi, Hikari, or Kodama.
The Nozomi is your fastest bet, with the fewest stops, followed by the Hikari, and then the Kodama, which makes more stops along the way.
Depending on which train you choose, the trip from Tokyo to Nagoya will take anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours.
